Aloha Part 2

For everyone who has now joined my site etc, I was advised a little more about ‘me’ and my background was needed…so head over here for that.

Apologies for neglecting you; I have been on a rollercoaster of emotions lately and am currently mending a broken heart. I fell head over heels for a man I thought I could have spent the rest of my life with and found out he was just another boy.

So now, as much as I am struggling at the moment, am determined that this is the ‘Year of Firsts’ and try and concentrate on my travels and thought there is no better place to start than home since I live in a picturesque part of the world.

Say hello to Torquay…

A quaint town in Devon nestled between two other towns which make up Torbay. We are known worldwide as the ‘English Riviera’ and have weather and beaches likened to St Tropez. Despite its problems in the current economy, on a sunny day down the beach with an ice cream, nothing beats it. There are amazing views to be found throughout the town thanks to the coastline around the bay and the 7 hills we have. Devon and Cornwall also have the most blue-flagged beaches in the UK this year according to the Best Beach Guide…

I don’t think I could have picked a better place to begin my journey do you?

  1. What a lovely spot to live! Lucky you! I’m just waiting for my kids to leave so that I can travel! So I’ve either got a year or four, depending on where they go to college and then we’re out of here!!!!

Sara – the best thing is, when it’s good weather, to get yourself down the harbour with all the tourists and have yourself an ice cream and a stroll along the sea front – bliisful! Sorry, I’ll stop rubbing it in lol
