Greetings from Namibia part two

Hi All,

I literally have no time to update sadly. I have just half an hour before we head out to dinner where we get to try all sorts of game meat from Zebra Springbok, Ostrich and Oryx to name just a few – uber cool.

Well, so what have I been up to for the last few days I hear you ask? HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE!

I have spent a night under the stars – literally. I took my sleeping bag, found a smooth spot on the rock and fell asleep. I wanted to see the stars but the moon was so bright it wasn’t possible though at least we got to see a partial lunar eclipse of the moon in the morning – a great thing to wake up to.

The best thing that I’ve done this week? God, I’m not even sure I can find the words to describe it. We went on our first game drive through Etosha National Park and OMG wwe saw SO MUCH! Giraffes, Elephants (including one by the side of the road), two rare Black Rhinos, Zebras, Springbok, birds, Ostrichs, Monitor Lizards and even a pride of lions!! It was MAGICAL! But wait, there’s more! Our campsite where we have spent the last two nights had a waterhole attached to it so you could go and see the animals drinking – OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! We got really excited seeing a herd of 12 Elephants until another herd of 20 turned up to join them and just as they left a HUGE bull turned up with his mighty tusks! We saw families of rhino, hyenas and even a lion try and attack a baby rhino. Words can’t describe how good it feels to be here.

THIS IS AFRICA!!!!

I can’t wait to get home and start posting all of my photos – your jaws will drop!

Africa is still winning on the whole ‘taking my dignity’ front but the less said about that the better *ahem* 😀

‘Bus politics’ are already getting hard to cope with as it feels like Big Brother on wheels or, as I like the call it, the Prison Van for Crazies. It’s incredibly hard to have any time to yourself and I’ve had a couple of REALLY low days…soul searching came a little quicker than I had anticipated and in a much larger dose. I’ll write more about it when the internet is better (but unsure if that’s going to happen any time soon) – needless to say that I’ve been filling up a lot of diary pages.

Catch you all in seven days when I get to Livingstone!!
